Hey Guys! Not horse related but fun!

I haven't posted about this sooner because I didn't know if it would happen for sure, but today I am a proud new owner of a Great Dane pup! Her name is Sadies, she is 6 months old, she was going to be my dads dog but my dad doesnt have the time for a puppy. We went and got her tonight, and she laid in my lap the whole way home! Shes such a doll, she is so friendly, and a quick learner. Have you ever heard the saying that dogs that have a dark roof of their mouth are smart? There is no scientific research to support it, but my mom has had over 100 dogs, most from when she rescued and fostered, and this has proved true. Sadies's roof of her mouth is BLACK! She is a quick learner, and loves to be played with. She is HUGE even at only 6 months old she is as tall as my waist. She weighs quite a bit too! So I am super excited to work with her tomorrow.
On the down side, my friends friend isn't doing very well at all, they are giving him 2-3 days more to live. :(  Also I was missinformed is is NOT a collapsed lung it is bilateral pneumonia, I wasn't told in extream detail,, but as you can guess it causes stress on the lungs. McKayla came to the pool today for a bit, so we got to hang out for a while. She will go back if he passes away. He has a website, www.caringbridge.org/visit/melpellett95 , Please pray that he can get a lung transplant before his time is up. Okay!!!! I just got an update on Mell, there is a donor, the surgery started at 11:20 tonight, Please pray that all goes well! Mell even though I don't know you, my lifelong friend does, she is so worried for you, I pray that all goes well, and you have a good recovery! Thoughts and prayers from small town Iowa!
