https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDjlwwUwNPw Riding Jack, so I think he has potential for western pleasure, he has the much needed lower headset, I would like to see him lower his head a little more and collect, but he hasn't been ridden often, and after a few weeks off he did really good for this ride :) right now we are starting on leg cues, he is picking those up quite quickly I think in a probably 4-7 more rides he will have them down pretty good, his trot is pretty smooth and easy to sit, no posting at all in WP so thats a good thing, I do need to work on my seat, I am used to riding english, so this is more of a forward position, so I need to work on sitting up more and tightning my core, it doesn't help that I havent ridden western in a few months! Like I said he has real potential, we I think I will try to take him to shows, until Chuck gets used to them, Chuck is no WP horse, he has a lot of get up and go, so this summer I will start him on barrel patterns, he already knows the poll pattern pretty well, and once we can get him used to the show atmosphere so he doesn't go nuts like he did at Dayton we can start competeing togeather.
