Updates!!!!!

Hey guys, sorry I havn't updated in SO long.... anyways we finally got the arena finished! We finally got it done (minus the gate) on Tuesday and we rode Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday.... I worked on Chuck with some different things, and we even did some bridleless work, I had one rein clipped on and tied to she saddle horn and used the other as a neck rope, didn't have to use the rein, but I used the neck rope some, but only when we cantered or he didn't respond to just leg at the trot.... I was also happy because I free lunged Chuck in the arena, and I just free lunged him down on one end, and he stayed close to me... he could have run away but he didn't... (at least not until Chance walked in haha) anyways we had a great time.... it will hopefully be less busy these next few weeks so we will have more time to ride.....

2 weeks from today Roni, Nick, and I will be doing something that we have never done before! We will be going on a competition trail ride. Basically its a 2-3 hour trail ride that has I think 6 obsticles that are judged along the way. It will be a new exciting experience for us... and it will be the last big horsie thing that we do this year.....

Another thing I have to update about is my trailer.... Nick looked a little closer at it, and the wood in the manger, and the tack storage area up front was a little rotted, so he took it all out and welded a nice heafty chunk of steel in there, so that it will hold up good. The floor is all good thankfully, so thats what we have been up to lately... Here are some videos of the arena/riding!

Showing the horses!

Hey guys, so I havn't posted about it yet, so I figured I would post about it now, don't have any videos but I do have the pictures of the ribbons I got at a show we went to a couple weeks ago. Anyways it was my second time showing, but Roni and Nick decided to show for the first time and we all had a blast!!! My first two classes were walk trot and pleasure, and now that im above 16 I am in the senior division, I didn't place in walk trot, but I did get fifth in pleasure, anything above 6th you get a ribbon for, so I got a ribbon for that, then I did trail which nick beat both roni and I at, chuck had a couple of hissy fits but thats okay we worked through it, and theres always next time! Then we went on to barrels and poles, barrels went pretty good considering we got 3rd!!! poles could have been better, it seems in at least 1 speed event every time that Chuck tries to run sideways, that slowed us down but it didn't stop us from placing as I got 4th in that, then we did musical tires, I didn't know that I would have to climb back up on chuck every time so I oppted out for that, Nick beat Roni and placed in that although I can't remember how he did, then after that we did ride and switch, which is where you have to ride down to the barrel hop off and the other person gets on and rides back and its a timed event, I participated as Nicks partner and Ronis partner, with Nick we rode Chuck and with Roni we rode Jack, I thought Nick was going to fall off on the way back, but he made it, the stirrups were set on my length and obviously theres not time to change them, and we did pretty good, I am not used to riding Jack so we only cantered down instead of galloping and Jack didn't like the fast paced stuff to much and it took roni a little bit to get on because Jack was spinning in circles cause we were being crazy and in a hurry, we can definatly work on that though, I don't know what place Roni and I got, but Nick and I placed 3rd, and it was a open class so anyone could enter, we got beat by 2 groups of teen girls one of which goes to my school and is actually in my animal science class. Overall it was a super fun day and im glad we got the chance to go out and have fun. Later tonight I will make a post about what our next adventure will be so stay tuned for that!!!

Arena Updates!!

Hey guys so this is just a short arena update we are almost there! If you don't know we have got all the concrete moved out and have been spending the past week or so picking up the smaller pieces of it, tonight we finished picking up the big pieces (anything bigger than a fist) and tomorrow I get the job of sifting through all the dirt for the smaller pieces while vironica and Nick will fill in post holes then the rest of this week we will finish the fence, so by next week we will have a nice arena to use! The size of the arena is roughly 60 feet by 120 feet although I believe it is slightly bigger than that. Anyways its going to be a nice training tool to use, Nick already has plans to add lights to the arena which won't be hard really just get a couple of yard or flood lights and we will be good although that is going to be later because we still need to get our AC fixed. Anyways heres some pictures and a video for you guys so you can see!!!

The Red part is where we normally ride so the arena is quite a bit bigger than what we are used too....

Birthday!!!

Hey guys so if you didn't know today was my 17th birthday! I just wanted to share with you some of the things my AMAZING family got me. So I will start off with the smaller things and save the best for last... so first off I got a really pretty necklace it has a leaf kind of pendant and it's simple but elegant, after that is a wubble bubble which is like a big inflatable ball it's pretty darn fun to play with.... then I got a really cool chair it's like a bungee cord/trampoline chair it's really comfortable and fun.. after that is the one goofy but pretty awesome present I got a chicken! A chicken showed up and my mom's work and it didn't belong to anyone so I get to keep her! Her name is Wieser  (also the nickname of my best friend) she's very friendly and calm I have wanted chickens for awhile now so that is an awesome suprise. Next up wasn't really a birthday present it was kind of one to myself and it works out that I can share it in this post and it involves my last present, so my mom and Nick were "looking at a saddle for nick" when they got there the saddle was apparently not what the guy said it was, but he had another saddle for sale... now I have been casually looking for a new saddle and my mom sent me pics of it and it is practically brand new with one little scratch on the seat... so me being me said sure and bought it.... I have ridden in it 2 times now each for about 2 hours and it's pretty darn comfy if I do say so..... so now onto the final gift... this was from a combination of my parents and I really want to thank them a lot because it is a very nice and very big gift for someone my age and I couldn't be more thankfull.... so the whole story my mom told me about going to look at a saddle for nick was a huge lie they just happend to find the saddle I bought by accident... they were really there to find something else look at the pictures to find out what it was! I will do a video on it as soon as I can si you guys can see it all!

Update!

Hey guys so Friday we got a LOT of rain the in town official rain total for the town I live 2 miles outside of was over 9 inches in one day.... to say the least it was crazy we had to have the permission from our parents or the sheriff to even to be able to leave school if you didn't live directly in the town our school was in.......  we got home from school that day and there was about 3 feet of water in the basement.... not exagerating at all, the sump pump was working and still is but it just couldn't keep up with all the water comming in as fast as it was..... now its down to about a foot so all is going better...... today we went kayaking out in the pasture and had a fun time out there..... I will post videos down below so you guys can see how bad everything is and we didn't even get the worst of it, in a couple towns over the Red Cross has been called in because houses have really bad flood damage and there are even some cars halfway under water....

Horsie Projects!

Hey guys so these are the pictures of the horse related things I talked about in my last post the first is just a pic from camping at brushy.... the next pictures are of our new tack area in our trailer it isn't finished I'm the pictures but it is now I will have to get more updated pictures of it sometime this weekend... it has 4 saddle racks and the wall that separates the horses from the tack area .. the next pictures are of our ongoing project... we have always talked about having an actual arena at our house and it may finally be starting to come together although we had a setback all the concrete bin pads are broken up and to our suprise there is already quite a bit of sand under them so there won't be a big cost for decent footing for it... our big set back is that the tire on our big dump truck got a hole in it and will need to be fixed which may take awhile cause we're all busy.... anyways its progress maybe it will be done by the time I'm done with college hahaha okay guys blog ya later!!

Another Update....

Hey guys sorry I haven't updated for awhile, I have been crazy busy with tons of things and working up to 10 hours a day most days really wears you out, anyways not this past weekend, but the weekend before we went to brushy camping everything went really good except for the weather, the first ride we took Jet had a attitude but thats to be expected with how old he is and considering how often he has been ridden other than that first ride he did pretty dang good, Saturday night was really crazy it rained so hard and rained all night, in the middle of the night nick my mom and I all woke up to a very loud bang, the awning bars came out of the side of the camper due to the weight of the rain, anyways then last week I had band camp and rolled my ankle the second day and then i couldn't go to work or march at camp for the next two days on doctors orders but I worked all weekend and work all week this week then get this weekend off and then school starts after that on monday so I will have more time and energy to do things..... anyways just a short update when my computer decides to quit being stupid I can get the pictures on here for a post about a couple of horse related projects....

Updates!!

Hey guys so a quick update for you I start my first day of work at my permant barn tomorrow, I had a really fun week in training although I got bangged up quite a bit..... Monday was the first day, and I worked every day until Friday, we got to do lots of different things including heat check, sow treatments (shots for the sows), Processing (castration, iron shot and tail docking), chorring rooms, loading weaned piglets onto the wean truck, moving sows into their new room, and lots of other fun things, there were two really interesting things that I saw while I was there at the training barn, the more normal one was a sow that aborted, she aborted 3 piglets at roughly 60 days into gestation so they were just very small piglets.... and the second was the weridest..... it was a two headed pig! It had 2 snouts and 3 eyes it had just been born, it was euthanized because it wouldn't have lasted long and it shouldn't have to suffer, it was really cool to see it though, it doesn't happen to often but it does happen sometimes..... anyways I have work on Monday and Tuesday this week and then Wednesday through Friday Roni and I will be on summer trip, it will be my second year going on summer trip im hoping this year is as fun as last year :) Also this week Chez came over for awhile and we all hung out and watched tv, and then Friday night I went to the fair and got to hang out with Wiese and her boyfriend we watched the trailer races, which are always a blast, our mugger for the Wild Horse Race Team was driving in it he got to the feature race but his truck broke down, it had flames comming out on the bottom so I was kind of nervous for a bit but then all it did was sit there and smoke, then after that we went up and rode some rides together I about made both of them sick on the dizzy dragons cause I spin so fast, then I got her to go on the loopo planes and she screamed so loud! Eventually they got headed home and I met up with another friend who also happens to be names Alesha we hung out and listend to the band that was playing and had a good time then it was getting pretty late and it was time to head home..... then Saturday I went with my grandma for awhile to the fair, Roni and I played the coin dozzer game that I love, anyways today I didn't do much just because I have been so busy and worked a lot so I just relaxed today..... Anyways here are the pictures of how banged up I am and a short explination of why.....
These are bruises from trying to get the sows to stand up, each day you have to stand the sows up to make sure they are healthy and their legs are okay, sometimes you gotta give them a couple good pats to get them to get up, it works best if you pat them up on their sholders, and I can't reach their sholders very well because im so short so when I go to pat their sholders I accidentally hit my arm againsed the side of the farrowing crates.....

This is more bruises from my arm hitting againsed the stalls while trying to get the sows up, when you have to get almost 40 sows up you accidently bang your arms a lot....
these are from me learning forward on the sows butt bars over and over again
I pinched my thumb in one of the sows butt bars when I was closing it......
I have bruises from leaning over on the pannels over and over again on both of my thighs....
More bruises same as above

The Story of Chuck!!!

Hey guys so you guys obviously know my 2 horses Chuck and Jet, but you don't know all the specific details so I thought I would just let you know!
We got Chuck back in September of 2011 so he will be 13 this September because I just consider the day we got him his birthday, we got him and one other horse from an auction at 9 years old, Chuck was going to be Nicks horse, and the other horse Spirit was going to be mine, we didn't really ride them much at first I was only 11 at the time, the first time Chuck was ridden at our house, he was ridden by Nick, he went down the road and got back home and then procieded to have a bronc session with Nick in the driveway and buck him off, which is says something because nick does a pretty good job as a rider in the wild horse race.... anyways I can't remember when I really started riding Chuck but it was mostly in the round pen, horses have come and gone but he has thankfully always stayed with us, he eventually became my baby boy I rode him more frequently and then as time went buy started to work with him more and more and then I had my accident, we sold 2 of our horses in exchange for some help, I had just a few lessons with Tara and she got me back working with him really good, previously chuck had only been ridden in a halter or hack because he got really fussy with a snaffle, Tara tried a snaffle on him and he worked way good! He likes softer hands if you got up in his mouth he got fussy and irritated, but by then I had become a better rider and was able to be lighter and use my hands independently from my seat, after that I really started to fine tune him and thats how we have gotten to where we are today! Here are some pictures of Chuck througout the years.....

First Day!

Hey guys just thought I would give you an update of my first day of work out at the farm.... training this week is at a barn thats quite a ways away from my house, its about 45 minutes one way so I had to get up really early this morning around 4-4:15 because I had to be there before 6 and needed enough time to make sure I got to the right place because I had obviously never been there before, so that was fun, I got there on time we all talked about biosecurity again, then we showered in, and went inside and talked some more, then we had a mini scavenger hunt looking for things like ear plugs, saftey glasses, MSDS sheets among other things, then we did a small tour of the barn well all of the barns, there are 6 barns in total that are all connected 2 farrowing 2 gestation 1 breeding and one with just pens for different various things, first we went to see the 2 gestation barns and we got to feel the different body conditions of sows, they are measured 4 times during their pregnancy, and depending on their score 1 is a little thin 2 is just right and 3 is a little overweight, you have to feel their ribs and their hip bones to determine what they are, after that we watched some of the normal workers processing piglets they were giving iron shots, castrating, and tail clipping.... the piglets were only unhappy while being held because they still don't know humans, they don't even care that they were castrated or anything they just wanted to be put back down haha as soon as their feet were on the ground again they stopped squealing, it was really nice to see how much goes into the daily care of all the animals and I can't wait to play a bigger role, after that we went in and ate lunch early at like 10, then we went back down to the pens and practices moving some sows and gilts around first we got to move them in groups, you would move the whole pen, but only push 2-3 pigs out at a time, then we had to single out a individual girl and move her too, in case you didn't know pigs are very social animals so it was much easier to move them in groups, when moving my group a sow insisted on getting a drink of water she wouldn't move till she got it the same thing happend when I moved just the individual it was kind of funny its amazing people think of pigs as dumb stupid animals but they are really full of personality, some sows are really friendly others would rather just lay there some like being curious and its kind of cute, Kristin our trainer walked into the pen we would be moving and one sow from the way back came up as fast as she could so Kristin would pet her she would just put her head up for Kristin to pet.... it was neat to see Kristin interact with the girls, I found a sow that wanted to be petted while others were practicing moving the group (only one person did it at a time) and she would pick her head up for me to scratch and rub on they are really neat animals, of course you cant think of them as pets because they will eventually die or be euthanized... this past weekend a illness started comming in it is hitting farrowing  really hard and they are loosing piglets to it we watched some of them be euthanized in the Co2 tank but it was what was best for them, prolonging the suffereing would be cruel.... they should know by tomorrow what the disease is so treatments can start as soon as posssible, we got to help give vaccinations to piglets this afternoon, I kinda paired up with the other younger girl of our group she will be a senior this fall we are the only 2 highschoolers in our group, i gave the vaccinations first, she grabbed marked and held the piglets while I gave the shots, then after a little bit we switched, we had 7 people in our training group and we did 12 litters quite quickly, after the first few shots you figured out what you were doing and things started to go quite a bit quicker, we all had different colored markers, and one litter had all but 1 piglet marked with Christmas colors it was kinda funny, anyways that was my day after that we reviewed some stuff and showered out and I came home, I went out and cleaned the horse water then came back in and took yet another shower, (only the third one today.......) and now im going to just relax until teen wolf comes on, Kristin called and told me they pushed back weaning tomorrow morning so I don't have to be there until 6:45 so thats always a plus to get a little more sleep anyways blog ya later!

Good News!!!

Hey guys this is just a quick post anyways I got my OFFICIAL job offer today for the hog barns! I will get a wopping $12 a hour, which is kinda funny because my mom is mad that she is making less than me! Today I had my first day of orientation and I learned a lot I also reviewed some stuff from my ag science 2 class, I was the youngest of 13 people there... all but 4 of us 13 have gone or were currently have gone/are going through/to college, I also got my barn assignment, I have another day in the classroom then all week next we are out on the farm for real life experience I can't wait!

Upcomming Adventure!!

Hey guys so I just wanted to let you know Sunday I will be leaving for a vacation Bible camp in South Dakota, all of us kids are going, we leave Sunday and won't be back until Very late thursday or friday. We are doing lots of cool different activities... the first day will include touring the Rushmore Caves (along with the viewing of Mt. Rushmore), the second day we will go to Sylvan Lake, Roni and I plan on hiking up Mt. Harney, which is the highest point east of the Rockies at  7,242 feet it will be a long hike taking 5 hours in total, but it will be totally to get this spectacular view... there are other options to do at Sylvan lake but we thought this would be the most amazing....
The third day will start off with pancakes at Fort Hays Chuckwagon Breakfast and Old West Town, and we can get to see the film set of the movie Dances with Wolves, then off to Evans plunge waterpark, a naturally feed pool, the water comes from 13 different springs feeding into the pool.
All of this along with having daily bible studies and devotions, can't wait for this amazing experience and having an amazing time meeting new people and have some fun and get closer to God.

Fun Day at High Bridge.....

Hey guys so last saturday was a fundraiser at High Bridge this fundraiser was called Pony Up for Jack, Jack was diagnosed with ataxia-telangiectasia  which is also known as A-T. A-T is a rare genetic disease that attacks children, causing progressive loss of muscle control, immune system problems, and a high rate of cancer.
At the fundraiser there was pony rides, a bouncy house, a scavenger hunt, silent auction, and a nice meal. It was a really fun day and it was all for a really good cause, I helped out with the Pony rides for a bit, but that ended I was walking Toffee around and she had been getting irritated and wasn't wanting to listen, anyways I was standing with toffee while a little girl was getting off Toffee reached over and bit my arm, not a nip she actually bit bit me, the first time I have been bitten hard enough to start bleeding.... Anne asked how she was doing and I said not good and took her to a stall to have some chill time away from everyone.... Roni and I went on the scavenger hunt and had a blast, the cake pop maker you saw was one of the things for the silent auction. It was nice to see everyone, and we got to see this years foals, the one was born premature so that's why the one was in the stall she has to be in there, anyways heres a video and a picture for you guys, ENJOY!!!
The bite mark after a week of healing....

Cake Pops....

Hey guys so here are two videos of us making cake pops they are very very yummy and we made 4 plates in total of the frosted ones and they are gone already! I got the maker for 10 bucks at the silent auction at high bridge, hope you like it! The first video is all of it, and the second video is our big failure, we had made them the night before, but we had used a home made recipe and it didn't raise very well at all, even if you filled it all the way up it didn't even get close to the top.... anyways here are the videos enjoy!

Updates!!!

Hey guys so a little update for you guys sorry I havn't updated in so long but like I said in my last post summer has been kinda crazy for me.... anyways this past roughly 2 weeks has been interesting, this summer Roni and I are babysitting a 6 month old and two 8 year old boys, the one is kinda a hand full and makes things really tough... the second day we were babysitting the non trouble one had to go to the dentist and after he got back we were all going out to the lake and the non trouble one was really quiet so I asked if he was okay and he said ya... we got out there and were out there for maybe 10 minutes and the boys were with Roni while I watched the baby....  and the non trobule boy said he wasn't feeling good and Roni said to come sit with me and he stood up and threw up all over.... anyways we decided it would be best to go but his brother didn't like that idea and we had a couple tantrums to deal with.... that week.... On the bright side I was only thrown up on once by the baby!
Anyways we went riding the other day we just went down the road and Jet started to get stiff in his leg that he had the surgery on.... I didn't want to make it any worse so I got off and I walked him the rest of the way,  I found out that I really need new jeans cause all but 2 pairs of my jeans are worn out in the thighs from riding... most people have experienced chafing and a word of advice jeans with holes will chafe and its a billion times worse than normal chafing because the threads make more friction... It was bad enough to be bleeding, but I didn't realize that till almost 3/4 the way home a mile and a half of walking with holy jeans is a bad idea... but it was for jet so its not so bad, we got back and I worked with Jack and Alex because alex has started riding with us.... we worked with him at the trot after a little bit I got dizzy and started feeling like I was going to throw up.. it was no fun, I handed Jack and alex to roni and went and sat down, nick got me a 2 cold water bottles, one to drink and one for my neck I sat there while roni helped him with trotting and she even let him experience a little bit of canter for the first time that way if it ever happend or when we go out on the trails where there is no way to get up a hill besides to canter he would know what to expect.... after that the horses got hosed off and I hosed Jets leg in cold water for awhile and I started to feel crappy again so when I was done with that I went inside and cooled off, showered and then we went to the movie Poltergeist, its funny right before nick leaves we always go to a movie, he had to leave to New Jersey for a week, so he has been gone sense Monday..... Speaking of Monday I had my first official job interview on Monday, I had applied awhile ago but the status always said interview ready, and I saw one of my friends who was a senior of 2014 and was our clarient section leader at our town celebration and we got to talking and not only does she work at the place I applied, but her mom works in hiring we started talking and went down and talked to her mom and I ended up getting a call last Thursday and asked to set up a time to interview.... anyways the interview went really well and its sounding like I am going to be offered the job, my interviewer and I were already dicussing when I would start and training, so thats super exciting and even If I get minimum wage I would me making roughly $54 after tax, Im pretty sure its more though because there is a friend of my moms daughter that works there earns about $13 an hour and shes only a year older than me so if that was the case I could make up to $93 a day so Im super excited! I would be working on a pig farm as a sow technician, doing things like helping with birthing, AI, clipping needle teeth, docking tails, castrating, and vaccinations, it will offer me a lot of experience that will help me in the future as a vet! Anyways here are some videos for you guys hope you enjoy!!
The above video is from out train ride that we went on we had a great time
Below is the video of a local band playing at our town celebration.....

More Videos!!!

Just a short video of letting Chuck out after our ride the other night sorry I cut it off but Nick was bringing Blaze's body out and I didn't think you guys would want to see that....

Below is a Vlog from the same ride the other night we still havn't brought back the saddles even though the horses have been home for more than a month but we were just practicing ponying eachother around the yard and theres a shot of vironicas bad sunburn...
Above is a vlog with Roni trying to do a vaulting move that we have seen Anne do before but she failed epicly! She still did good......

Below is a video of me showing my new helmet I got as a late Christmas Present and I talk a little bit about Troxels helmet program if you get in an accident which isn't to uncommon for me.... anyways thats it for now I will post one more post with the links to all the video posts from today!

Music Videos....

Below is two music videos for you guys I hope you really enjoy them!!!!!

State Convention Videos.....

Below is some of the videos I took at state convention so I hope you guys enjoy!!

Horse Fair Videos!

Above is a ranch/cutting horse demonstration we watched
below is a mexican rodeo sport that I have never seen or heard of before, you have to jump from your horse onto another horse at a gallop riding bareback and when you get on the second horse you are riding backwards!!!!
Above is a video the horse doesn't look comfortable at all, but I always thought spanish saddles looked interesting.... I couldn't exactly understand what they were saying about why the saddles were made that way but you can see the saddle horns can stand a lot of heat and friction

Below is a short drill team sort of thing, most of the ladies are riding sidesaddle so I do have admiration for that but you can see some not so good horsemanship througout the video....
Above is a very short clip or Roni and I following a Mini Donkey! He was very cute and I just thought I would take a quick video.....

Below is a video of 2 trick riders one is a man the other is a lady, the man did a lot of the same tricks but the girl did a wider variaty.....
Above is a video of the same man who did the trick riding doing Roman Riding if you watch the whole video you can see where things went very wrong, although it was handled very well.... and they continued with the program.... below is a short video of all the different things mashed into one video so I hope you enjoy!

A Zillion Videos!!!!

Above is a short clip of me goofing around riding sidesaddle on chuck lol this is from when there was still snow on the ground which was awhile ago!

This one below is a video from when I fell off Jet this spring, he hasn't cantered sense our second ride and with that being his first time being ridden after a winter of not really doing anything he did really good, he rides very well at the walk and trot but cantering still needs work haha!
Above is a video and don't let the title fool you haha I was just free lunging Chuck and I assumed eventually he would get tired of it and run off, but as you can see he didn't really care to much he wanted to go be by his buddies....

Below here is a video touring my grandma and grandpas farm.... there is a bit to see, so I hope you enjoy watching it!

Above is a short clip of me riding Chuck with just leg cues at a trot, we do about a half circle of canter and I picked up the reins cause he was headed for the barn haha that might not have gone well.....

Down here below is a video from going and hanging out at High Bridge earlier this spring, while I was there I got to go on a trail ride and work in the arena a little bit on Mavrick, I helped out with a birthday party and had a blast.... after that I helped feed horses, you put out all the feed into everyone stalls and this is what happens........
Above is a short Vlog after riding in pouring rain this spring and below is some short videos of the horses and just messing around with them

RIP Blaze...

Hey guys sorry for not updating for awhile.... I have been crazy busy..... anyways.... not feeling like blogging much at the moment... but I thought I would let you know that I didn't forget about all you guys.... Our dog of more than 13 years passed away today.... we buried him out in the pasture this evening... he will be missed dearly RIP Blaze 11/04/01-06/02/15.

Hey!!!

Hey guys so im SO SO SO SO sorry I havn't updated in almost a month! Things have been so crazy busy you don't even know! I have been working on my college class, spent the past 2 weekends in MN, grilling, and all this stuff on top of normal every day life, but on the bright side Nick came home early!!! He has been home for over a week now and he suprised us kids after Vironicas examination service for conformation. It was a great day! I am just getting a little run down I want to go to bed as soon as i get home most nights but thats not how things work sadly...... we did a little yard work (picked up some sticks and trash) cleaned out a stall in the barn its open to the pasture so the horses seem to like to go in there to poop..... we finished solo and ensemble a couple weeks, ago, went to the horse fair, had state convention and a bazillion other things..... Like i said life has been very crazy for me, or at least it seems that way..... anyways school doesn't get out till the 29th and to be 100% completly honest I don't know that I will have the time/energy to post again for awhile so just a fair warning/heads up, I am uploading videos to youtube though so if you want to keep more updated on what im up to!

Hey guys so today was a fun day and sorry in advance for the typing errors in this because I am doing it from my kindle.... anyways today I went back out to high bridge to help out... there was a birthday party going on and I came early to help get ready but I got there a little too early and Anne  was going to go on a trail ride with Hanna another girl sand Cindy... so I got to go ahead and ride Maverick... we only went out a little ways o. The trail because it as still really muddy... so we went back to the outdoor arena and did LOTS of trotting and worked o. Shortening and lengthening their strides.. Anne was riding Alrick who is a green broke 4 or 5 yer old... Hanna rode snickers... the other girl ride Ivan Cindy rode Banner and I got my boy Mg.... anyways we then canterwood fora bit and then it was time to get ready for the birthday party... it was a small group only about 5
Children and some adults... we mostly gave pony rides including the adults but a a12 yer old got a mini riding lesson from Anne and one of the adults from living... me and Hanna where cracking up her. The adult was being lead by Libby and the dude wanted to trot so they did... poor stickers
Snickers probably has a sore back this guy looked like a sack of potatoes and he was wearing moccasn like shoes and his jeans came up always she. Be was on stickers even for only trotting g a few steps it was so hard not to giggle... he sure had fun though!! Then when everyone had left we untacked groomed and put the horses that were already inside in their tie stalls for feeding... they have a really cO system for feeding there... everyone's grain is put into their stalls some in box stalls and some in tie stalls and then all the gates are opened and all the horses have learned which spot is theirs and go to it we had one mix up with Finnic and Major though but Finnic is newer tnoo tenant and I still learning... then we got the broodmaress out to groom them.. they are not groomed as often because they sent ridden every day so I was really happy I got to see clover which is the horse who my friend Erica rides most of the time it took me almost a year to figure out that Clover actually belonged to Anne!! But I have a soft spot in my heart fir clover although I don't know why haha she's thinking cut connamara pony with the poofiest mane you will ever see its like putting the mane of a mini onto a 13 hand pit.. only two of the three broodmaress are breed this year Shyla and  Clover are both carring goals sired by the barns stud Samson and Ginger isn't having a foal this year but it will be cool to have two new babies running around.... but it was fun grooming clover she is a sweet mare that just has an attitude lime she's a gelding or at least when she's with me haha we spent about 45 minutes to an hour grooming them... to days the least there was a TON of hair then everyone was getting ready to leave so Jeff too spent a total of almost 4 hours there and it was 4 hours well spent... I will get up a short clip of feeding time tomorrow sometime be sure to check out my youtube channel!!

Fun Today!

Hey guys, so today we went riding, I was VERY happy with how chuck did, roni on the other hand not so happy with jack because she ended up on the ground.... We rode over to the campground and messed around for a bit, I went down the entrance ramp to the river and walked chuck in the river a bit, then we went back by the creek and Chuck had a lot of fun playing around and splasing in the creek, then we went back up the hill and we rode the hogsback back up to my grandmas house, chuck was in a hurry to get back, so I backed him up the last hill to the house (which for those of you who know where I am talking about, you know its a pretty steep hill to back up) and then we went back down to the farm to work them some more, Roni and I did a little mirror image riding, then I  cantered Chuck and he did AMAZING he is getting better and better each time I ride him with his hack he gets better and better when we canter, he just drops his head (not in a bad way like to buck) and I can shorten and lengthen his stride much better than with his snaffle, then because he did a few really amazing circles of canter I walked him around for a few minutes and then hopped off and loosened his girth and watched Roni fall off Jack after trying to get him to canter he is nutorious for running sideways, and she came off, so she lunged him for a few minutes while I grabbed her a water and took Chucks saddle off, then she hopped back on and he tried to run her through the trees and tried stopping and spinning to get her off, but she did really good and stayed on, calmed herself down and continued, she eventually got him to canter one full circle without any problems and then worked on the other side and it took a little bit but she got it, then she walked him around and cooled him off while I hosed chuck down because he was quite sweaty because we rode for a couple hours and it was almost 80 today, then I let him back out and took a video of it because he LOVES to roll after he gets a bath, and what happend was pretty funny... I will do a few posts tomorrow with some of the videos I have made recently, but if you don't want to wait go check out my youtube channel right now!!

Update!

Hey guys so we had a snow day today, we had about 6 inches of snow, so I am really glad that we got in a nice ride tomorrow.  Tomorrow the temprature is sopose to be really low  wind chill is around -20 anyways I hope to have a few videos up this week, not much else is going on, our sub-district contests were postponed until next Wednesday, so now we won't get to go skiing, but my mom said we could all go another time together, next week is very very busy! Monday is the blood drive, I am working the blood drive and then I am donating and doing double reds for the first time. Then tuesday Alex has his solo and ensamble contest then wednesday is contest, Thursday is honor band, and friday is the winterfest dance. So next week will be very busy... Anyways I don't have much else to update about right now so blog ya all tomorrow!!!

Today

Hey guys so sorry I don't have much horse stuff to talk about lately I the weather has not been cooperative at all the days that it is nice I always have things going on or they are during the week days this weekend for example Friday was 29 but I had school and by the time I could have gotten to the horses it would have been dark anyways and then the next two days were 8 degrees and -4 at my grandmas house and that's not including wind chill... anyways I hope to get back out sooner rather than later... anyways I have 2 pics for you guys obviously the weather one lol and the fine line between bravery and insanity.... I get called insane by quite a few people when it comes to horses.... Roni loves to talk about Jets 2nd ride and how I laughed every time he crow hopped or when I do something "crazy" like riding backwards or standing up on Chuck, and some others say I'm insane in a good way as in its insane that I can ride bridleless or the strangers at the show this fall said I was doing really good for my first time showing on a horse I trained..... I definitely jump rope that line quite a bit, but what fun is life if ya don't take chances?

Short Update!

Hey guys, so this has been around for a couple of weeks, but I figured I would post it on here for you all to see. Here is an article about how scientists are finding similarities between autistic children and foals with neonatal maladjustment syndrome or dummy foal syndrome as its more commonly called. Its quite an interesting article and I hope you guys enjoy reading it!

Post for Today!

Hey guys heres the video, I don't have much to write about today but I had to give you guys something

Another Update!

Hey guys so here is the second of 40 consecutive blogs, so recently my grandparents gave me an old tack box/trunk. It had belonged to my uncle Brad way back when he was in 4-H. He died back when I was still very little from an asthma attack. I don't remember him, but my parents and grandparents do. I am just glad that I can bring some use it and make it like new again. Next time we work on it, we will re-paint the inside and clean it out really well. Roni and I both worked on it a bit, we finished the outside, so here it is!!

Update!

Hey guys, so sorry I havn't been on in awhile, I have been busy, but good news for you all, for the next 40 days I will be posting EVERY DAY. Now some of you may know of lent, well to tell you the truth im not even Catholic..... (im Lutheran), but I do have some friends who are, and today I helped one of my closest friends Wiese(Emilee is her actual name but thats what everyone calls her) decide what she wanted to do for lent. Her boyfriend and I decided that she would have to say one nice thing to her boyfriend each day. She got the idea that we should do an "Honor Lent" just so we could all be in on the fun. It may not be in our religion, but its like a 40 day challenge for both her boyfriend and me. Her boyfriend will give up using foul language, and I decided that I would blog EVERY DAY for the same time as lent. Another friend of ours is giving up American eating utensles (butchered that spelling) and using chopsticks to eat all of her food for lent. Anyways like I said there will be something EVERY DAY! Even if its only a shorter post like this one. I have a little supprise I have been working on for you guys, although it is probably more special and fun to me. If you want to check it out early you can look at my youtube channel and see it before it gets put up here! Have a great night!

Another Video...

Hey guys, so this video is of Alexis and Pearl, I have started making videos for other people recently, so this is one of them, Pearl is doing great! Alexis got in contact with the old owners, and found out her lines, her registuered name is Go Moon Gambler, and we found out its quite a small world, Pearl used to live down the road from Tara! Tara was even the one who put Pearl Up on all breed, and way back in her lines there is another horse named Pearl something, its quite ironic that thats what we named her without knowing any of her lines! Anyways heres the video!!!

So God Made the Horse....

Hey!!!

Hey guys, so sorry I havn't posted in so long, anyways I finally figured out a new way to get my videos because a long while back my computer crashed so I had to get a different computer, and I lost all my videos, and my usual method of getting my videos that are saved to youtube to my computer is by making a screen video/shot thing with quick time player, but the one on the computer I have doesn't work, and neither does the microphone or camera, so I finally found a different method of downloading music and videos cause I don't have quick time or itunes and such to get music on my computer (heck and even if I did half of its blocked haha ) Anyways I made a few videos this weekend, I hope you like them, and I am going to post one today, one tomorrow and one tuesday and MAYBE one on wednesday, and sometime between now and then I will do a short update on a ride we took last weekend that was really fun and upload the videos from all of that!!!

Class Ring!!

Hey guys, I realized I forgot to post this, anyways I finally got my class ring back at the beginning of christmas break and I thought maybe you guys would like to see it! It even has a horse!
